Can you account for your whereabouts on the 13th July 1985?
I'm sitting in my lounge reviewing the footage from that day.

A number of other questions raise themselves. Hopefully someone on here can help.

Question 1

Did any artistes get paid for appearing?
Obviously that was contrary to the whole point, but I know that some bands turned the idea down so one wonders if any were offered sweeteners to turn up.

Where can you get a sitting room suit?

It's 'sitting room', not 'lounge'.

I don't know why I'm bothering here. I have never managed to break your habit of saying the T word, and I wouldn't be surprised if you say 'serviette', either.

Perhaps you could break the habit of a lifetime, and desist from attempting to divert a thread from its original topic.

There's a good girl.

Perhaps YOU could break the habit of a lifetime by dropping your risiblly oblique Secret Squirrel and/or conspiracy schtick, and just tell us in a strightforward and outright manner what incident you are referring to. Because this game is boring and under boring circumstances my brain understandably decides instead to wander among the tulips. Or flirt with geep (he's my bit of rough)

Not watching Live Aid.

What else was on?

Re: Can you account for your whereabouts on the 13th July 1985?
That post of yours appeared AFTER my attempt to liven up your thread for you (you're welcome) and ought to have gone in your opening post for avoidance of doubt. What also ought to have appeared in your opening post is an unambiguous explanation that you were referring to the Live Aid concert. That would have worked out much better for you, because at that point, I would have thought ("Oh no, not that load of old arse again") and left your thread alone. Now, because of your refusal to behave like the average, unimportant person you (we all) are on here, you have me buggering up your thread for you. Well done, bullet.

Hmmm, well it looks as if Question 1 is going to fall by the wayside, so .....

Question 2

Did Robbie McIntosh (performing with The Pretenders) wear a knotted handkerchief on his head as a tribute to Monty Python?

I was four.

Can't account for much of what I was doing at that age, but my parents may have some photos.
